The Challenge
Create a substantial lakefront residence that feels refined rather than imposing—offering privacy and a strong sense of arrival from the street while taking full advantage of the property's expansive views toward Lake Keowee.
Our Approach
The home is intentionally composed as two different experiences. From the arrival side, layered gables, natural stone, timber, and a restrained window composition give the architecture a sense of permanence and privacy. Inside, the house gradually opens toward the lake, culminating in a dramatic rear elevation defined by expansive glazing, outdoor living spaces, and a strong connection between the Great Room, pool, landscape, and water beyond.
The Outcome
The Reveal House earns its name through contrast: grounded and composed on arrival, then increasingly open, light-filled, and connected to the landscape. The result is a lake residence that feels both substantial and welcoming, with the architecture framing the experience of Lake Keowee rather than competing with it.
